The lobster season is here
Schneidewind puts his cards on the table...
Much more than just a job, to him this is a real passion, which, over the years, has turned into an incessant battle to defend taste and quality.
But let me tell you my story, of what I did before I reached this level of vigilance:
born in 1967, the son of a hotelier dynasty established in the region of Münster in the Federal Republic of Germany, from very early on I had the ambition to lead a team of gastronomic buccaneers.
Indeed, I had to leave the region of Münster in order to follow my dreams and professional ambitions in Brussels with Pierre Romeyer from 1983 to 1991, then from 1991 to 1995 as the Chef and manager of the restaurant "Le Sabayon" in Esch-sur-Alzette.
1995 was the year in which I opened my own restaurant, "Jan Schneidewind" in Luxembourg City, on rue du Curé, and in 2002, the Jan Schneidewind annex with the famous restaurant "Mercedes Café" was born.
Over the years and more precisely in 2005, following countless requests from my customers, I decided to set up a delicatessen and catering service, playing my gastronomic score and pushing the standards of cuisine ever higher.
With a head filled with ideas, my dream took shape with the name "Windsor", synonymous with luxury and nobility but also by placing the restaurant and catering service under a brand name and on the shoulders of a chef.
In 2008 I found the perfect location close to the A4 motorway and less than 15 minutes from the city centre. Located at the heart of Bertrange's small business park and thanks to its exceptional location, Windsor's large indoor and outdoor car park is at your disposal, allowing you to access Windsor restaurant straight from your car.
With the help of professionals we designed a refined décor by integrating the kitchen and wine cellar, entirely encircled with glass, into the dining room, in order to charm you with our precise culinary skills and allow you to catch a glimpse of the vast choice of bottles in our wine cellar.
The combination of materials, steel and leather, where the various shades of violet patinas match the shimmering materials, gives you the wonderful impression of being in your own dining room or at a friend's home, whilst enjoying all Windsor restaurant's services.
I look forward to welcoming you at Windsor and, along with my entire team, to providing you with a relaxing gastronomic experience, with many surprises in store.
Yours flavoursomely,
Jan Schneidewind
